Intro to Ceramics: Beginner Potters Wheel

Experience how to throw on the potter's wheel in one class with an instructor that will cover the basic intro fundamentals of pottery throwing: centering and pulling up walls.
This class is designed for someone who would like to experience throwing on the wheel for the first time or visitors looking for a fun evening. Any clay pieces made during this class will be recycled and not fired.
Pottery making is a multi step process that takes time and multiple visits. If you are looking to learn about the whole process of pottery making from start to finish, please see the pottery 3 day series classes offered.
This class is taught by Melissa Michel, a professional potter, with over 15 years of ceramics experience.
*Please arrive on time. The first 30-40 minutes of class is the demonstration.
Ceramics is a multi step process and pieces will need to be completely dried and fired in the ceramic kiln and may take up to 2-3 weeks for completion. You will need to return to the studio once everything is bisque fired to glaze your pieces and place on the glazed shelf to be fired again.
Cancellations must be made 48 hours before the class start time. If a cancellation occurs, those enrolled on the waitlist will be added in the order they registered
